GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF MURRAY HOUSE & GROUNDS Murray House has lovely guest rooms, each done in a different theme. The queen size beds have memory foam padding for extra comfort and each room comes with a private bath. Best of all, you have private outside entrances to each room. You can have your personally served homemade breakfast either in your room or on your private patio area. For your convenience, your room has a TV, VCR, A/C, fans and WIFI computer access. There is a small refrigerator, coffee pot, and microwave. You never have to leave it. The second level guest room has a panoramic view of Almy Pond and a distant ocean view. There are lovely flower gardens surrounding the small Koi pond and the inground swimming pool and hottub. You are a short (5 mins) walk to a lovely semi-private beach and the famous Newport Mansions are just around the corner. Well trained pets and children over 8 years are welcome. You'll like it here. |

WINTER & SPRING ONLY: BYOB-BYOB (Bring Your Own Breakfast) In the off season, I usually close down. So many of my repeat guests have asked me to stay open so they can enjoy Newport in the slower months, that I came up with a money saving plan to make coming to Newport and staying at Murray House much more fun. |

| My rooms have their own outside private entrances (and mini-kitchen essentials, so you can do your own light breakfast thing). You can also come and go as you please. As you long as you don't mind the winter woes, you can get a really great deal at $99.00 per night, (two night minimum) plus tax. (The same room has a summer rate of $185.00). This rate is good mid-October to mid-April. From mid-April to Memorial day the rate is $109 to $119. This is a pre-season rate. | |

Wonderful stay!| Love2Travel201011 Winston Salem, North Carolina This B&B is a hidden gem in a great location just off Bellevue Avenue. Noreen is great to work with and very accomodating of individual needs. She will gladly make excellent restaurant recommends if you want to eat where the locals do. Murray House, Newport's dog friendliest destination AlexandCindyBrown Cincinnati, Ohio In our brief 3 days visit, we walked our two greyhounds (Samson & Delilah) along the entire Cliff Walk. Little did we know that they are part mountain goat as well. Our time here was every bit worth the 835 miles we drove from Cincinnati, Oh (West Chester). You must load google earth on your computer. I will post our pictures there for you to find. After all, that's how we found the Murray House. The dog friendly restaurants were wonderful, and the October weather, sunny & 70' something, could not have been more idlyllic. Each day we returned to our room, we were enchanted by the new table settings. Samson & Delilah were overjoyed with the dog treats you left. Without further digression, Murray House and our hostess, Noreen, far exceeded our expectations in a wondrous setting. Don't change a thing. |

Great stay on my first trip to Newport! Spieslak Massachusetts Murray House Bed and Breakfast is absolutely charming! I had a smaller room as it was only my daughter and myself, but it was roomy enough for two. Room was very clean and decorated very nicely with alot attention to detail. The private patio and pool area were beautiful. The innkeeper was very nice and her gourmet breakfasts were delicious! Overall an excellent experience and would definitely stay there again. |

Tremendous place!!! laddiemut Cheshire, CT My wife and I spent the better part of the week at the Murray House. Accomodations were excellent! Poolside room was very comfortable and roomy. Breakfasts were spectacular--different every day. Our host Noreen was very helpful pointing out places to go and was on the money with restaurant recommendations. Really enjoyed ourselves. Noreen also delivered tremendous weather!!! |
